Right care, right place, right time

Within weeks of using the AI clinic, I was able to fully recover from my back pain, and I now have a bank of useful exercises to go back to if it flares up again. I want other people to be given the same easy access to treatment that I received, especially those who can’t afford to avoid waiting lists by going private.

Within two weeks, I felt more mobile. By the end of the first month, I was sleeping better through the night. Over the years, I’ve seen various physios, and even paid to see a private sports injury specialist due to the long waiting times for NHS appointments. Flok has been one of the most effective options I’ve tried. It’s flexible, easy to use, and I love that the exercises are tailored to me and my routine.

I've seen physios before (both privately and on the NHS), and the exercises they gave me never really worked that well. But with Flok, the exercises felt totally tailored to my needs and were far more effective. Within a week of using the app, my pain started to ease. When I reached out through the app for some extra support, I was shocked at how quickly I had a call with a specialist. She was really empathetic. Overall, Flok has been brilliant. The app made me feel safe, comfortable, and I love how convenient it is to use the app anywhere, at any time. It's helped reduce my back pain significantly.

FAQs
What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy aims to relieve pain and restore function to injured or painful muscles, connective tissue or joints.

A physiotherapist will first look to understand your symptoms and how they impact the quality of your life. They will ask you relevant questions about your medical history, your current activity levels and treatment goals to determine the best plan of care for you. Next they will ask you to perform certain movements to better understand how your back affects your function, your ability to perform daily tasks and other activities that you enjoy outside your home.

Once your physiotherapist finishes their in-depth assessment, they will create a bespoke exercise programme for you to perform in your own time on a regular basis, ideally 3 times week. Your physiotherapist will also offer you advice on symptom relief, stress management and how to improve your overall activity level. These factors often play a significant role in your recovery time. You will be recommended to return for weekly follow-up appointments to review your progress and take the next steps.
How can you treat me if you can’t see me face-to-face?
Physiotherapy treatment with us feels similar to any face-to-face treatment you might receive. All the key things we need to do as physiotherapists and you need to know and do as a patient can be achieved successfully through our digital clinic.

Firstly, we need to determine if physiotherapy is the right course of action for you. This is something we can successfully do through digital appointments. We take you through an in-depth medical assessment where we ask you a series of questions about your history, symptoms, lifestyle factors and goals alongside a graded movement test that you can respond to in real-time.

If physiotherapy is suitable for you, we then need to decide the most effective treatment plan to help you manage your symptoms and achieve your goals. How you respond to our questions during your appointments combined with our clinical expertise ensures that the treatment we deliver to you remotely is safe and suitable for you. You can contact us with questions or help through the contact details on this page or once you are in the app.
Is physiotherapy the right treatment for my symptoms?
Flok Health will tell you if physiotherapy is the right treatment for you after you complete your medical assessment.

A small number of patients may require further investigation of their symptoms before the appropriate treatment can be identified. These patients might be advised to see their GP, contact NHS 111, or go to A&E if urgent care is required.
What if digital treatment isn’t right for me?
If digital treatment isn't right for you, we'll refer you to a different local provider and make sure you get the care you need.
