Our commitment
Flok Health is committed to making the Flok Health App accessible to as many patients as possible and to delivering high-quality digital care that is inclusive and easy to use. We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards across our platform and review accessibility as an ongoing part of our development process.
We design our interface with clear language, consistent layouts, logical navigation, and readable content to support all patients in accessing safe, effective care.

Technical information
The Flok Health app is available on iOS and Android. Our platform is developed with accessibility in mind, informed by the four WCAG 2.2 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust.
Minimum requirements to use this service
Because the Flok Health App is a regulated clinical tool, certain minimum requirements apply to use it safely and effectively.
- You must be between 18 and 75 years old to use this service.
- You must be comfortable using a smartphone or tablet mobile application.
- You must have good enough eyesight to see your smartphone screen clearly.
- You must have good enough hearing to listen to audio content clearly.
- You must not be experiencing cognitive impairment that would affect your ability to understand and interact with the app safely.
- You must have a sufficient internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) to load content, including videos. If content does not load correctly, try a different network or location.
If you do not meet these requirements, we recommend seeking care from another healthcare professional, such as your GP or NHS 111.
Known accessibility limitations
We recognise that the following limitations currently exist in the Flok Health Clinical Engine. We are transparent about these so users can make an informed decision about whether this service is right for them.
- Videos without captions or transcripts. Video content within the app does not currently include subtitles or text transcripts. This means users who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who cannot listen to audio in their environment may not be able to access all video content. This is a known gap against WCAG 2.2 Level A criteria 1.2.2 (Captions) and 1.2.3 (Audio Description or Media Alternative).
What we are doing to improve
Accessibility improvements are an ongoing priority. To support our mission of delivering high-quality care for multiple conditions at scale, ensuring our service is accessible to all patients is a core focus.
